Steps to reproduce the problem:
The problem seems to be with the integrated Shockwave Flashplayer (pepflashplayer.dll). I installed the plugin from Adobe (NPSWF32.dll) and disabled the pepflashplayer, and that seems to have done the trick.  but other people already tried this steps and they are still getting Pages unresponsive

What is the expected behavior?

What went wrong?
  The unresponsive pages were periodic, but yesterday they were horrible.  I gave up trying to do anything on the desktop.  Today, just booted up and got an unresponsive page.  I decided to see if anyone else was have the problem and see I'm not alone.

Alright, this is very annoying. My google Chrome was working perfectly fine yesterday morning, but when I went online yesterday afternoon it was completely non-funtional. I would open a chrome window, it would pop up, only to refuse access to any web page at all. It wouldn't even allow me to go through google setting pages, and leaving it to open up on it's own would give me a Page(s) Unresponsive page listing for the page "New Tab." I didn't intentionally download anything and it has NEVER given me these sorts of issues before. I attempted to install it again but nothing appears to be working.

I'm running version 33.0.1750.154 in Windows 7. Any ideas how to make this program function again?
